Personal Trainer/Movement Specialist
We are looking to hire a part-time independent contractor to assist with fitness clients and athletes. You will be responsible for delivering individualized workouts for 1 on 1 and/or 2-3 clients per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach, manage time effectively, and motivate multiple clients in a personal training setting.
At WellFit Rx, we are looking for a well-rounded trainer that has a strong understanding of fitness, injury mechanisms, and biomechanics to optimize the client's overall experience and results.
A degree or experience in a related field is preferred. Personal training credentials are preferred for this position. Trainer must have obtained or be in process of obtaining a nationally accredited certification before inquiring about the position (NSCA, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, ACE, etc).
We are looking for qualified fitness professionals who can bring energy and enthusiasm in a personal training setting. Trainer must have the technical knowledge to safely teach an individualized program and be excited to grow as a coach. The ability to coach in a dynamic and inspirational manner in fast paced setting is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for the safety of your participants in regard overall health, exercise technique, posture and spine, as well as joint stress and stability when resistance training
-Modify and scale specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
-Handle client questions and communicate in an efficient and professional manner.
- Be able to assists clients with general nutrition information and healthy eating habits/behaviors as needed.
-The Trainer/Coach will lead 1 on 1 sessions and up to 3 clients through a 60-minute specific training sessions
-Energize, motivate, and guide clients throughout the sessions
-Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the training floor as well as other areas of the gym when needed
-Attend any fitness staff meetings, and other requested continuing education presentations
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Knowledge of physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, injury mechanisms, exercise technique, body mechanics.
- Background in Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, or Strength and Conditioning, Massage therapy, or related field preferred
-Must hold current fitness certification, or be in process of obtaining an approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NASM, NSCA, AFFA, NFPT, NPTI, etc.
- Nutrition certification preferred. NASM, ISSA, Precision Nutrition, ACE, etc
-CPR/First Aid certification
-Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to multi-task and stay organized while training up to 3 clients in one training session
-Must have the ability to progress and regress exercises on the fly, in real time
-Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels—novice to elite
-1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
-Must be able to safely lift and move up to heavy weights if needed
